# Full credit → parent cancel

> How Lambda completes a full credit by cancelling the parent income CFDI instead of stamping a credit note.

A full credit that fully offsets its parent can finish without emitting a tipo E credit CFDI. Lambda cancels the parent income CFDI through Facturapi and marks the credit **Credit completed**.

This is a fiscal completion route, not a failed credit stamp.

## When it applies

Lambda chooses parent cancellation when the credit evidence shows a full offset against a usable parent, and the organization allows that route.

| Credit case | Typical fiscal path |
| -------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Full offset against parent total | Cancel the parent income CFDI |
| Partial offset | Stamp a tipo E credit related to the parent |
| No parent link | Stamp a standalone tipo E credit |

Partial and standalone credits stay on the normal stamp path. See [Credits and cancellations](/stamping/credits-and-cancellations).

## What you see in the workspace

* The credit resolves as **Credit completed**, not **Stamped**.
* Timeline events can show that the note routed to parent cancellation.
* The parent moves through cancellation — often **Cancellation in progress**, then **Cancelled** when SAT (and any required receiver acceptance) finishes.

Do not expect a separate credit CFDI XML/PDF for this route. The fiscal outcome is the cancelled parent.

## What can block it

Parent cancellation stops when continuing would break the CFDI chain — for example unpaid linked payments, amount or currency disagreement, or a parent that is not cancellable yet.

If the parent-cancel route is off for the organization and a tipo E stamp is allowed instead, Lambda may fall back to stamping a credit note when parent SAT evidence exists. Otherwise the credit waits as a configuration skip until a route is enabled.

Read the note first, then [Troubleshooting](/troubleshooting#credit-cancellation-blocked).
