Overview - Lambda

Analytics gives you read-only PostgreSQL access to current CargoWise data. For normal reports, reusable SQL, exports, and Power BI, start with reporting. It provides the smallest stable model, clear row grain, documented joins, and automatic use of the active data generation.

Data layers

Layer	What it contains	Use it for
`source_data`	Parsed XML nodes, paths, values, and source ownership	Field discovery, evidence, lineage, and replay
`cargowise`	Canonical current CargoWise business records	Complex consultations that need deeper detail
`reporting`	Smaller views over the active CargoWise generation	Normal reports, SQL, exports, and Power BI

Reporting model

Part	What it contains
Report roots	One current row per shipment or one-off quote
Detail views	Charges, parties, milestones, packing lines, containers, and repeated data
Relationship views	Source-backed links between shipments, consols, quotes, and bookings
`source_fields`	Optional scalar XML evidence when a field is not in a business view

These parts stay separate so each view keeps one clear row grain. This prevents repeated details from multiplying business totals.
